Unless otherwise noted, plants and seeds sold in this catalog are not for human consumption. We provide these life forms for species preservation in botanical collections. Although many of our plants have a history of human use, some of them are quite toxic and can be deadly! Our Brugmansias are treated with systemic insecticide!! All information concerning chemistry and historical use of these plants is intended for educational purposes only. We accept no responsibility for the outcome of use or misuse of anything we offer. Postage is included in the selling price for U.S. orders. Overnight mail is available on request for an additional $ 25.00. We use USPS Priority or Overnight mail.
Foreign Permitting & Shipping: It is the customers responsibility to comply with all laws regulating the importation of live plants. Most countries require a phytosanitary certification ($45.00). Customer is also responsible for applicable import permit fees, duties and taxes. Write or E-mail for availability, shipping cost & permitting required for your shipping address. We ship live plants Worldwide!
Terms: Payment must accompany order. The minimum order for plants is $25. Make payment by credit card, money order or cash. Checks and money orders should be payable in U.S. funds to Native Habitat. Florida residents must add 7% sales tax!
We can not guarantee plant shipments to northern climates during the winter months. Remember that overnight mail is for the plants benefit. Most orders are filled in 1-3 weeks but may take much longer during winter when we wait for low temperatures above 45 degrees. Orders not filled promptly due to freezing temperatures will be given top priority in the spring. Our plants are grown in small batches at different times so it is not always possible to ship your entire order in one package. Allowing us to back-order a plant places you in line to receive one as soon as that batch is ready to ship. Please notify us when you will be away from home. All packages have current USDA nursery, nematode & fire-ant inspection certificates.
Most of the plants we offer are tropical or sub-tropical (USDA Zones 9-11). They can survive in the ground in some parts of Florida, Texas and California. Many are good greenhouse specimens, house plants or will overwinter indoors. This is indicated wherever possible. Have sterile soil and 1-3 gallon containers ready when shipment arrives. Unpack & transplant your new plants carefully. Most are packed without soil and must be carefully potted to avoid damaging the roots. A small percentage of the plants we offer resent this treatment enough to defoliate. Do not assume a plant is dead until the stem no longer "scratches green". Report any such damage or loss to us immediately!
